Gutters & downspouts

Cleared by hand. Flushed and tested. Photographed.

A blocked gutter is not a gutter problem for long. It becomes a fascia problem, then a soffit problem, then a foundation problem — and in South Florida it does it fast.

What is included

Everything, every visit — not just the easy runs.

Blowing leaves off the top and driving away is not gutter cleaning. Here is the full scope, and it is the same on every property.

  • Debris removed by hand and bagged — not blown into your beds, pool or neighbour’s yard.
  • Every downspout flushed and water-tested from the top until it runs clear at the outlet.
  • Loose hangers and spikes re-secured where a simple fix stops a sag becoming a replacement.
  • Seams, end caps and miters inspected for the pinhole leaks that only show up in a real storm.
  • Fascia, soffit and roof edge checked for rot, staining, nesting and pest activity.
  • Gutter faces washed so the exterior of the run looks as good as the inside works.
  • Site left clean — ladders off the beds, debris off the property, driveway rinsed.
  • Photo report sent the same day, including anything we think you should keep an eye on.
Why it matters here

Florida is unusually hard on gutters.

Between afternoon downpours, year-round leaf drop and hurricane season, a system that would cope fine further north simply will not here.

Rain arrives all at once

A summer afternoon can drop several inches in an hour. A gutter that is even half blocked does not slow that down — it sends it straight over the edge and down the wall, and eventually behind it.

There is no dormant season

Palms, oaks and pines shed all year, so debris never stops accumulating. Northern advice about cleaning gutters “in the fall” simply does not apply on this coast.

Standing water breeds

A blocked run holds water for days. That is a mosquito nursery on your roofline, a rust accelerator on steel hangers, and an invitation to wasps and rodents.

How often? Twice a year suits most homes here — before hurricane season in late spring, and again once the heaviest drop has finished. Properties under heavy tree cover, or with screened enclosures and valleys that trap debris, are better served quarterly. Snowbird clients have it built into their schedule automatically.

Pricing

From $149.

That covers a typical single-storey home with standard runs, hand-cleared, flushed, tested and photographed.

  • Two storeys, steep pitch or difficult access add to it — and we tell you before, not after.
  • Bundle with a wash and gutters come in at a reduced rate; the Full Exterior Refresh includes them outright.
  • Twice-yearly and quarterly plans are discounted and scheduled automatically, so it never lands on your list.
  • Gutter guards, repairs and re-hanging quoted separately if we find something that needs it.

Gutter questions

Straight answers

I have gutter guards. Do I still need this?

Yes, less often. Guards keep the large debris out; they do not stop the fine grit, shingle granules, pollen and seed that pack down into a solid mat underneath. Guarded systems still need clearing and flushing — typically once a year rather than twice.

Do I need to be home?

No, as long as we can reach the perimeter of the house. Most of our gutter work happens with nobody home. The photo report is the point — you see what we saw and what we did.

What if you find damage?

You get photographs and a plain description of what it is and how urgent it is. Small things — a loose hanger, a spike backing out, a seam wanting sealant — we usually handle on the spot. Anything larger gets quoted, and you are free to take it elsewhere.

Will you blow the debris off the roof too?

Yes. Valleys and the roof surface get cleared as part of the visit, because leaving debris up there just refills the gutter with the next rain.

Get ahead of the next storm.

Gutters, roof and drains are one visit and one price when you book them together.
